File Transfer with WS-FTP LE

 

 

Now that you have completed your new web pages, you will want to upload them to Tiadon’s server.  One way to do this is with an FTP client, like WS-FTP LE.  First, review the following instructions.  You may wish to print them.      

 

 

 

 

Using WS-FTP LE

 

 

Text Box: Find the file, WS_FTP95.  To create a shortcut, drag the icon for this file onto your desktop.  Open WS_FTP95.
 

 

 

Text Box: A Session Properties window will open.  Choose a name for this FTP account and enter it in “Profile Name.”  The “Host Name/Address” for Tiadon’s server is users.tiadon.com.  Enter your Tiadon user name and password for “User ID” and “Password.”  You do not have to fill in the rest of the blanks.  Click OK.  WS-FTP should now connect you with Tiadon’s FTP server.
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The contents of your server will be shown on the left directory listing, Tiadon’s on the right.  Select the file containing your web page.  Click the left to right directional button (ŕ) to upload your file.  A window will open, displaying your file transfer status.  When the transfer is complete, you should be able to see your file in Tiadon’s directory listing.  Click “close” to terminate your connection to Tiadon’s server.
